Festa Medievale 2012

Hello world, this morning my cat woke me up .... Lallo had locked door's room and she hates being locked in a room, door's rooms must be open, so that my cats can come and go as they please.
This weekend is here at the Medieval Festival in Abbadia and yesterday I went for a visit, is first year, in twenty-five years I've lived in San Salvatore Abbey, I participate in this festival. I must say that I liked too, to see the streets laden with colors and scents of the time, took me back in time, and I started daydreaming about what could be the time.

I leave you with photographs, a video today, I will also hope to do it ..... A big hug Beth

The offer of Censi. The medieval festival of San Salvatore Abbey, is intended to evoke the Offer Censi of the population was at the Monastery. The thirteenth century documents relating to Abbadia repeatedly cites census in kind offered to the monastery by the inhabitants, than the charge of real "services" (such as the armed service for landowners) and other benefits. The census in nature were related mainly to local products and offerings were not made in one annual occasion, but occurred at different times and at different times, in connection with the seasons and the rhythms of lavoro.La party wants to recall the close relationship between the life of the monastery and that of the Community wants to draw, through the set (blacksmiths, carpenters, weavers, the wool workers, the Podesta, the priors, the chamberlain, the representatives of terzieri) individual social entities, economic and institutional. The commemoration brings together in one festive occasion the path of offers that developed during the year, condensing into a parade of the essence of reality medieval Abbey.
The procession of the Offer Censi winds through the streets of the city center until you reach the abbey, where he is greeted by the abbot and monks and representatives of the inhabitants. In the village is preserved medieval life, with taverns where you can taste traditional dishes, craft shops, flea market, the military camp, music and dances, duels, theatrical skits.

and in end of day we go to eat an ice cream
